 mann - tenor saxophone \n\nTheo Ceccaldi - violin \n\nJim Hart - vibraphon
\n\n\n\n\n\nTo mark the tenth anniversary of his “Velvet Revolution” – and
a good 36 years after the “Velvet Revolution” that led to Václav Havel an
d the democratization of the former Czechoslovakia – Daniel Erdmann is vis
iting the “3 Days of Jazz” with this chamber music jazz trio. In addition
to the avowed melodist and his confident sonorous tenor\, the group also i
ncludes French violinist Théo Ceccaldi\, who already delighted audiences i
n Erdmann’s “Therapie de Couple” on the main stage at the jazz festival la
st summer\, as well as British vibraphonist Jim Hart\, known from his Clou
dmakers and projects with Ralph Alessi\, Alfred Vogel and Bex Burch’s Vula
Viel. “The unusual line-up and a striking artistic attitude make Daniel E
 rdmann’s Velvet Revolution a special\, highly recommended experience\,” wr
ote Norbert Krampf in the German newspaper FAZ. The music of their current
album “Message in a bubble”\, three compositions each by the trio members
\, is neither soft like velvet nor really revolutionary\, but oscillates p
 erfectly between these supposed extremes.
